Summer Activity

Free for our guests

During the summer, guided hikes and themed walking tours are offered on specific weekdays as part of the "Summer Activity" program. Certified mountain and hiking guides will show you the most beautiful routes and best trails. The tour program is available at the local tourism office.

Monday

Hike to the source of the Drava River and visit to the "Werk 1" Bunker Museum, easy

Start: 9:30 AM at the Tourism Association office
Duration: approx. 4–5 hours
Equipment: sturdy footwear, water, food, rain protection, and a warm sweater or jacket – it’s cold inside the bunker!

(PLEASE NOTE: Bunker entry is not included but is available at a reduced rate! Price: Adults €5, Youth (5–15 yrs) €3, Children under 5 free)

The hike leads along the forest path from the Haunold valley station toward Toblach to the source of the Drava. From there, the trail passes the shooting range to the Baumonna-Hof farm, where the new "Werk 1" Bunker Museum will be visited. A small recreation park is also scheduled for completion there by the end of June. You can return either on foot or by taking the public bus from Baumonna-Hof.

Wednesday

Visit to the "Unteroltl" Farmhouse Dairy, easy

Start: 9:00 AM at the street below Hotel Villa Waldheim
Duration: approx. 3 hours
Equipment: sturdy footwear, water, rain protection

Following our guide in your own car, we will drive to Signaue/Hennsoll (approx. 10 km). From there, a 10-minute walk leads to the Unteroltl farmhouse dairy (stroller accessible). The tour includes a visit to the farm, the stables, and the animals, followed by a look at the dairy itself. This experience for the whole family is rounded off with a tasting of various types of cheese.

Friday

Forest Magic: Water Therapy and Relaxation Training, easy

Start: 9:30 AM at the Tourism Association office
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Equipment: towel, sneakers, water

(PLEASE NOTE: Chairlift not included!!! Price: €8.50)

Take the chairlift up the Haunold mountain. From there, the path leads across the "Schmiedelwiesen" meadows to the Wildbad springs and its various water sources. Surrounded by the tranquility of nature, we will discover the secrets of the forest while practicing different forms of relaxation, such as barefoot walking, "Kneipp" water treading, and relaxation exercises. The return journey to Innichen follows the path along the Sesto stream.

Tuesday

Three Peaks Loop, moderate

Start: 7:45 AM at the Tourism Association office
Return: approx. 5:00 PM
Equipment: full mountain gear, water, food

(PLEASE NOTE: Taxi + Bus transfer not included!!!)

Transfer by taxi (€3 per person) to the Toblach train station, and from there by public bus (approx. €7.50) to the Auronzo Hut (2,333 m). The approximately 5-hour circular hike begins there, following path no. 101 to the Paternsattel (2,454 m) and on to the Three Peaks Hut (2,539 m), where we will take a 30-minute break. We continue via path no. 105 to the Langalm (2,240 m) and back to the starting point. From there, we take the public bus (approx. €7.50) again to return to Innichen.

Thursday

Panoramic Hike along Innichen’s Sunny Slope to Vierschach/Winnebach, moderate

Start: 9:00 AM at the Tourism Association office
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Equipment: sturdy footwear, water, food, rain protection

(PLEASE NOTE: Return transfer by bus or train is not included)

The hike begins in Innichen and leads to the Stauderhof farm (approx. 1 hour, approx. 300 meters in altitude). From there, we continue along the Panoramic High Trail across the Vierschachberg mountain, followed by a descent into Vierschach or Winnebach (the final destination will be decided on-site). From the respective village, we will take the bus or train back to Innichen.
