Whether you arrive in your own car or prefer a relaxing train journey – the way up to our retreat at 1,500 m marks the beginning of your getaway. Because sustainability and environmental responsibility are close to our hearts here at Glinzhof, arriving by train is the perfect start to a mindful holiday.
We go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy maximum freedom even without a car. You will experience the exclusive tranquility of our secluded location precisely because no public buses stop at our doorstep. Yet, you won't have to miss out on anything: with our personal service and tailor-made mobility solutions, we have taken care of everything for you!
Arriving by car
If you are traveling in your own car, you can reach us via our well-maintained panoramic mountain road, the Innichbergweg.
The last few kilometers to Glinzhof:
- Starting point: Intersection Pustertaler – Sextnerstraße (Innichen/San Candido).
- Directions: Drive east past the Esso gas station. About 100 m after Hotel Walter, turn left. From here, simply follow the signs uphill for approximately 3.6 km. Glinzhof is located on the right-hand side.
Important winter tip: Since we are located at 1,500 m above sea level, winter equipment (winter tires and ideally snow chains in the trunk) is mandatory by law during the winter months and essential for a safe journey.

Eco-friendly and relaxed travel by train
Enjoy a stress-free journey to San Candido (Innichen) railway station. From there, your holiday begins without any detours because we take care of the rest—even the planning, if you wish!
- Free Railway Station Shuttle: We will happily pick you and your luggage up directly from the platform and bring you safely up the mountain to our farm. On your day of departure, we will, of course, ensure you get back to the station right on time for your train.
- Personalized Travel Planning: Upon request, we can even assist you in finding the best train connections for your journey.
- Flexible & Punctual: To ensure our shuttle is ready for you, just give us a quick heads-up regarding your arrival time in advance. If you arrive spontaneously, a quick call saying, "Please pick us up in 15 minutes," is usually all it takes for us to be there at the station waiting for you.
Mobile on-site – no car needed even in winter
We guarantee you won't miss having your own car during the winter months, because we make sure you stay mobile:
- South Tyrol Guest Pass included: As our guest, you can use all public transport throughout South Tyrol free of charge. Whether regional trains or buses – you can explore the region without ever having to buy a ticket.
- Winter Ski Shuttle: During the winter, we provide a free shuttle service to the base stations of the local ski resorts (e.g., Haunold/Baranci or the Ski Pustertal Express) and will pick you up once your day on the slopes is done.
- In-house Electric Car: For individual excursions in winter, you can rent an electric car directly here at the farm. We charge it using eco-friendly electricity from our very own photovoltaic system.
Summer Mobility: Active & Flexible
In summer, too, you can enjoy the freedom of exploring nature at Glinzhof without needing your own car. Whether on foot, on two wheels, or by electric power – you stay perfectly mobile:
- E-bike rental directly at the farm: Discover the mountain world of the Dolomites in a relaxed way. We have our own e-bikes available for you to rent. Thanks to the electric assistance, even our panoramic mountain road becomes a breeze, and you can reach the most beautiful viewpoints effortlessly.
- On foot to Innichen (San Candido): A beautiful hiking trail leads you directly down to the village center in about 30 minutes. It is the perfect walk to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the stunning views of the Haunold (Baranci).
- In-house electric car: For longer excursions, you can rent our e-car, which we charge with green electricity from our own photovoltaic system.
- Individual shuttle service: We are happy to offer rides to Innichen during your stay for a fee of €15 per trip. (Note: The arrival and departure shuttle to/from the station remains free of charge!).
- South Tyrol Guest Pass: Once you reach the valley, you can use your free Guest Pass to travel on all buses and regional trains throughout South Tyrol for free.
